Wet n Wild Sunrise Festival Collection

Wet n Wild seems like an old friend to me.  When I started blogging Wet n Wild had just launched in Ireland.  It was the first event invitation I received (although I couldn’t unfortunately attend).  They were the first make-up products I bought for blog reviews and they were incredibly generous to me for my own HallowBloggers event almost two years ago.  The brand remains a constant companion on my blogging journey.

Before I introduce the new collection, I want to mention what I love about the brand.  The lipsticks are among my favourites.  The colours are amazing and the staying power is unbelievable.  I have all of them!  I can’t get over the price point of €2.99.  The performance of the lipsticks far exceeds the price.  I have a drawer full of their nail varnishes and they are fantastic.  There are a couple of different ranges including a quick dry collection and Megalast.  The varnishes start at €2.  My favourite is from a limited edition Spoiled collection that was previously released and it is a bright orange.  Other favourites include highlighters, concealers and the eyeshadow trio sets.  These are all affordable and can hold their own with any high end products.  Best of all, Wet n Wild are a cruelty free brand.

Now, to introduce you to the limited edition Geo Spectrum  Sunrise Festival collection.  Geo Spectrum embodies summer in a make-up collection.  The colours are pretty pastels that look like a summer garden.  The first thing I want to talk to you about are the eye shadow trios.  I can’t get over how shimmery these shades are.  They are utterly beautiful.  In-Di-O I Go Go consists of a pearly shimmery shade, a pastel pink and a lavender shade.  The sets mark how the shadows can be used on the eyes but there are no rules so they can be used in any order.  New Romantics has a similar lavender shade but contains a more rose highlight and a metallic blue shade. This set on the eyes kind of looks like a unicorn.  It is very sparkly and pretty.  I want to stress that these colours can be used as accents under the eye if a full on blue lid seems like too much.  The highlight shades can also be used on the face.  They are really beautiful.

The Megalast nail varnishes come in four shades: Lay Out Lavendar, Love Fest, Breeze on By and Kiss my Minds.  They are soft, pretty and romantic and perform perfectly.  I have been wearing all four of the shades together for the last few days.  As the collection reminded me of a summer picnic that’s kind of the look I went for with my nails.  I’m not very good at nail art but I did my best and the varnishes worked very well and lasted brilliantly.

Lastly, the highlighters are so unbelievably pretty and have a dual purpose.  The first thing that struck me when trying them was how soft they are on the skin.  They are buildable so work for someone wanting a subtle glow or someone wanting their highlighter seen from space.  I really like that about them.  They last well on the skin and give it a perfect glow.  They come in two shades: Desert Explorations and Sun Ceremony. Desert Explorations is my favourite of the two.  It has soft pink and pearl tones.  Sun Ceremony has similar pearly hues with gorgeous golds and bronze shades.  These palettes can also be used as a blusher or bronzer either with the pink or bronze shade or with the full spectrum of colours from each palette blended together to give a multi-faceted glow to the cheeks.

I’m very happy with the Geo Spectrum collection.  It is like having summer on my face and nails.  The collection encompasses the quality and fun aspects that I’ve come to love with Wet n Wild.
