Winged Liner Made Simple

There is something about drawing black lines along the corner of my eyes that makes me feel better about everything. Vintage has been part of my life for such a long time now and that is evident through my make-up as well as a lot of my clothing.  I can’t be without winged liner.

Many people, however, struggle with creating a wing or cat flick and are put off.  Nobody starts off able to perfect it so don’t worry as it does get easier.  There are a couple of ways of doing it with a liner pen, liquid liner or gel liner.  I recommend that when starting off don’t splurge on a really expensive product.  There is no point, especially if you decide the look just isn’t for you.  The two products I recommend are Winging It (a liner pen) from Blank Canvas Cosmetics and Catrice’s liquid liner.  Both are absolutely fantastic and I use them all of the time.  They are particularly good in this heat as the won’t budge or smudge on the lids.

Now the important thing with liner is to stay calm.  Take a deep breath and be confident.  Liner can smell fear.  I have put together a quick picture guide to show you how to create a flick.
