The Little Mermaid

I haven’t done a fairytale look in a while so today I have decided to recreate Ariel for The Little Mermaid.  The Little Mermaid is my second favourite Disney film, after Beauty and the Beast of course.

This look is relatively quick and easy and I think it would be a good character to start out with.  The main product I used in this look is my trusty 88 colour shadow palette from Blank Canvas Cosmetics.

I started on the eyes and used Catrice’s primer all over.  I then applied a light green, sea like colour from the Blank Canvas palette all over the lids.  I then added a taupe brown above the crease and a little bit of purple into the crease and along the outer corners.  I did this because although Ariel’s make-up is natural I wanted to add some of her colours to my eyes to make them more interesting. I then lined them with Catrice’s liquid liner and added some glittery silver liner from Collection above the black.  The same colours were applied under my lashes, added mascara and lashes from Penneys.  Finally I added white liner to my waterline.

For the brows I lightly added some taupe from Billion Dollar Brows and then a red from the Blank Canvas Cosmetics palette all over.  I gave them a little more of a rounded shape than my natural brow.

On my skin I used Undress Your Skin foundation from MUA Cosmetics.  I used Porcelain.  It is a really great foundation as it is gives a nice glow to the skin and a radiant finish.

Contour and highlight is courtesy of Makeup Revolution (bronzer) and Essence (highlighter).  The cheeks need to be nice and rosy (although they don’t really look it in the pictures) so I used NYX’s Rose Garden blusher.

My lips were created with Wet n Wild’s red lip liner and Monroe lipstick from Ken Boylan.

I kind of want to have my hair this bright shade of red now!  I hope you liked my Ariel look.
